Electrolux Professional: Where Swiss Precision Meets Italian Passion

Electrolux Professional embodies the very idea behind the Italian Cuisine Festival in Switzerland. It is no coincidence that, to introduce its participation in the event, Electrolux Professional chose the tagline: “Swiss precision meets Italian passion”.

Rares Petruc, Country Manager Switzerland at Electrolux Professional, explains why: “Our company brings together Swiss precision and reliability with Italian tradition and a passion for the foodservice industry. As a developer, manufacturer and supplier with a long-standing heritage, we draw on more than a century of experience, offering a broad range of products and solutions, as well as tailored consultancy and service. We are the only company in the world to bring together, under a single brand, all the technologies required for professional kitchens and laundries. We can say that our Italian-Swiss DNA is deeply rooted in our history.”

What do you mean by that?

«Zanussi was founded in Pordenone, Italy, in 1916 and acquired by Electrolux in 1984. The Vallenoncello plant remains an important production site today, reflecting Electrolux Professional’s strong ties with Italy. At the same time, our customers benefit from our established presence and long-standing heritage in Switzerland, spanning more than 155 years through thermaline. This is how we bring together the best of both worlds: Swiss quality, Italian know-how and our passion for the foodservice industry».

How has your relationship with customers evolved over the years?

«We can confidently say that businesses today are expected to focus on commercial performance just as much as on the artistic and culinary aspects of their work. Customers are now much better informed and more knowledgeable. This is also why we place great importance on understanding the local market, an essential factor in responding effectively to the needs of those who continue to put their trust in us».

What is your view of a festival designed to promote Italian cuisine abroad?

«Very positively. Italian cuisine is increasingly popular in Switzerland, with a large following and many businesses committed to promoting it, not all of which are run by people originally from Italy. Switzerland, after all, offers economic opportunities, career prospects and a quality of life that few countries in the world can match. For us, this Festival represents an opportunity to strengthen our position in the Zurich market and beyond, presenting ourselves as a partner that combines Swiss reliability with Italian passion and brings both qualities together in everything we do».
